AB6IX’s Park Woo-jin releases second solo EP, ‘SOLSTICE’

Park Woo-jin released his second solo EP, SOLSTICE, on Tuesday, marking his return as a solo artist after a break of about a year and five months. The AB6IX member discussed the album with reporters at a performance hall in central Seoul hours before its release.

The EP’s lead track, STAMINA, features Park’s low-register rap. Across its four tracks, the release also gives more space to his singing and songwriting. SOLSTICE is his first release since he joined Para Music in June. His previous solo release was the single Cool & Hot, which came out in April last year.

Park first gained recognition after finishing sixth on Mnet’s Produce 101 Season 2, leading to his debut with Wanna One in August 2017. After the project group disbanded, he debuted as AB6IX’s main rapper and dancer in May 2019. He launched his solo career with the mini-album oWn in February 2023. AB6IX has been on hiatus since its seventh-anniversary concert in May, when its contract with Brand New Music expired.
