BTS’s Jimin Receives First Japanese Streaming Platinum for “Who”

BTS’s Jimin has received a platinum certification in Japan for his solo song “Who.” The Recording Industry Association of Japan, or RIAJ, confirmed the achievement after the track passed 100 million streams in the country.

RIAJ introduced its online streaming certification system in 2020 alongside its existing programs for physical album shipments and digital download sales. Under the streaming system, songs reach silver status at 30 million streams, gold at 50 million, and platinum at 100 million streams.

The certification marks Jimin’s first solo platinum award for streaming in Japan. However, he previously earned a platinum certification for his solo debut album “FACE.” “Who” is a track from Jimin’s solo music, and its latest RIAJ recognition reflects its streaming performance in the Japanese market.
