CLOSE YOUR EYES Release Jazz-Inspired Fourth EP ‘256th Note’

CLOSE YOUR EYES have released their fourth EP, “256th Note,” a jazz-influenced project arriving five months after the group’s previous release. The seven-member act discussed the album with reporters at a hotel in Seoul’s Seocho District shortly before its release on Wednesday.

The members said the record was designed to present a different side of the group while drawing inspiration from the improvisational nature of jazz. The EP contains seven tracks. One song, “Drop That!,” samples Yoon Si-nae’s 1979 track “Enjoy This Night” and reshapes it through a 1990s street hip-hop style. The group also said it wanted to create meaningful memories with fans through the new release.

CLOSE YOUR EYES consists of Jeon Min-wook, Ma Jingxiang, Jang Yeo-jun, Kim Sung-min, Song Seung-ho, Kenshin and Seo Kyoung-bae. The group debuted in April 2025 through JTBC’s audition program “Project 7.” Since then, it has received awards in Korea and overseas and has been performing on its “BEYOND YOUR EYES” world tour, which began in January.
