ENHYPEN Reviews Global Blood Donation Campaign With WHO Chief

ENHYPEN met World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus at HYBE’s headquarters in Seoul on Thursday to review the results of the group’s global blood donation campaign. The meeting was announced by the group’s agency, Belift Lab, on Friday. Officials from the Ministry of Health and Welfare and Korean Red Cross Blood Services also attended.

The campaign began in January alongside ENHYPEN’s seventh EP, The Sin: Vanish, and was organized with the Korean Red Cross. It expanded from South Korea to Japan and Singapore, attracting about 10,000 participants in total. The six members—Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo and Ni-ki—also donated blood themselves.

Tedros said many patients who need transfusions cannot access safe blood in time, and praised ENHYPEN and its fans for encouraging donations. He described the previous campaign as a success that reached millions of people, and noted the influence of the group and its fandom, known as Engene. The meeting focused on the campaign’s results and the group’s role in promoting blood donation.
