Fin.K.L Plans New Music and Performances Ahead of 2028 Anniversary

First-generation girl group Fin.K.L is preparing to work together again in Seoul. Lee Hyori, Ock Joo-hyun, Lee Jin and Sung Yu-ri are returning through Gemstone E&M’s Fin.K.L RE:BLOOM project, their first group activities since the 2005 digital single “Forever Fin.K.L.”

The agency has planned approximately two years of new music and performances as the group moves toward its 30th anniversary in 2028. The project presents the reunion as an extended return rather than a single event, although specific release and performance details were not provided.

Fin.K.L debuted in May 1998 with an album featuring “Blue Rain” and “To My Boyfriend.” “Ruby” followed as another early single. The group initially became known for a sweet, fairytale-inspired style through songs such as “To My Boyfriend” and “Eternal Love,” before shifting toward a hip-hop-influenced sound with “Now.” After their group activities slowed, all four members pursued separate careers while remaining in the public eye. Fin.K.L was launched by DSP Media, then called Daesung Planning, a year after S.E.S. debuted under SM Entertainment, with the groups widely viewed as rivals.
