JTBC’s Love War featured former Miss World Korea titleholder Lee Joo Hyang and her boyfriend, Park Jin Sung, on October 12. The couple, who have been together for about four years, said their relationship had become more strained since she received her pageant title earlier this year. Lee, who runs a clothing brand and works on designing and producing its garments, introduced herself on the show as resembling aespa’s Karina. Lee Hyori said she saw Lee’s own distinct charm but did not agree with the comparison.

The episode showed Lee asking Park to handle errands during dates and accompany her on visits to popular food spots. He waited with her for three hours to try salt bread, and she also asked him to buy cosmetics and take photos. Lee told the production team that she expected him to follow her requests, while Park said he continued doing things for her because he cared about her. Panelists, including Lee Hyori, expressed concern as his fatigue became apparent.

Their spending was another point of tension. After visiting six cafés in one day, they spent 192,800 won on café items and desserts. Park said the cost was stressful and questioned the need to visit so many dessert shops. The program presented the couple’s different expectations as a source of conflict.
