Lee Soo-man Introduces A2O Soul and A2O Lite at Joint Showcase

Lee Soo-man’s A2O Entertainment introduced two new idol groups at a joint showcase at KINTEX in Goyang on Monday. The event marked Lee’s first music project in Korea since his noncompete agreement with HYBE expired in February. Both groups performed live for the first time at the showcase.

The lineup includes 15-member boy group A2O Soul and nine-member girl group A2O Lite. Their digital singles, “Superstar” and “Neon,” are set for release at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The groups are also connected through a shared fictional universe centered on Soulite, described as an alien planet.

Lee, who founded SM Entertainment and was pushed out after a boardroom battle three years ago, is a key producer at A2O Entertainment. The agency is applying his culture technology concept with 4D Gaussian Splatting and plans to develop an interactive live platform. At the showcase, Lee said he aimed to make the groups’ songs, choreography, videos, performances and concerts distinct from what came before.
