Onew Releases “Tic Tac Toe” Featuring Zico

Onew released “Tic Tac Toe (feat. Zico)” on October 7 at 6 p.m. KST. The song is the second title track from his upcoming single album “Chakgak,” a romanized title. It marks a new collaboration between the SHINee member and Zico.

The track blends R&B and hip-hop, using a game of tic-tac-toe as a comparison for the subtle emotions and shifting dynamics between two people. Its subject is the uncertain stage that falls somewhere between friendship and romance, with Onew and Zico offering contrasting interpretations of that relationship.

Both artists took part in writing and composing the song. The release is one of two title tracks for “Chakgak,” and its central concept turns an ambiguous connection into a game-like exchange. The song’s focus on differing perspectives gives the collaboration its defining theme.
