Roh Ji Sun Says She Cleared Her Debt After Leaving fromis_9

Roh Ji Sun spoke about her financial struggles in a video uploaded October 11 to the YouTube channel Min Sae Rom’s Open Studio. The former fromis_9 member said she had continued promoting with the group until age 28 but needed to find money for living expenses and did not want to keep asking her family for help.

She said financial institutions treated her as unemployed and without income, preventing her from getting a conventional loan. Under pressure to cover expenses, she took out a credit card loan for 3 million won without first checking the interest rate. As her borrowing limit grew, she borrowed more to repay the initial loan, and described the debt as becoming increasingly difficult to manage. She also received help from her older brother.

Roh said she cleared her debts about a year after leaving the group, adding that the amount was not in the hundreds of millions of won. Repaying her brother, settling the card loans and rebuilding her credit score were among the hardest parts. She debuted with fromis_9 in 2018 after appearing on Mnet’s Idol School. She left the group in 2024 alongside Lee Sae Rom and Lee Seo Yeon.
