SM Entertainment Files Complaints Over AI Images Targeting YoonA

SM Entertainment has announced legal measures concerning content targeting Lim Yoona and aespa’s Winter. The agency said on September 28 that it had filed criminal complaints against people who created illegal AI-generated images of YoonA and circulated false information based on them.

The company also warned that it would respond firmly to malicious posts directed at Winter. Its statements focused on protecting the rights of both artists and addressing online material that the agency described as harmful.

The announcement follows SM Entertainment’s update regarding violations of YoonA’s rights. The agency’s notice covered both the creation and spread of content involving illegal AI-generated images, as well as the false claims connected to them. It separately highlighted its intention to take legal action against malicious posts targeting Winter.
