TWICE’s Jeongyeon to Make Film Debut in New Recruit Horror Comedy

TWICE member Jeongyeon is set to make her big-screen acting debut in New Recruit: Haunted Military Hospital. She will play Yoo Jeongyeon, a military nursing officer, in the upcoming horror comedy directed by Min Jin Ki.

The film follows the New Recruit squad as they arrive at a military hospital hoping for a break, but find themselves facing unsettling rumors and hidden secrets. A newly released poster places the familiar characters outside Armed Forces Yangcheon Hospital. Park Min Seok, played by Kim Min Ho, looks back toward the building with a mysterious expression. Ryu Kyung Soo joins the cast as Yoo Jae Hoon, a mysterious soldier receiving treatment there.

Min Jin Ki returns to direct after leading the franchise through its fourth season, which reached new ratings highs, according to the source. The film combines the series’ realistic style with horror and comedy, and takes the characters away from their usual base. New Recruit: Haunted Military Hospital is expected to reach theaters this winter.
