ZEROBASEONE’s Kim Ji Woong and Kang Ki Young to Star in Film “Siren”

ZEROBASEONE’s Kim Ji Woong and actor Kang Ki Young will star together in the new film “Siren” (literal title). The story centers on two police officers with sharply different approaches who are pushed into working together on a case.

Kim plays Do Yoon, the youngest son of the powerful Kangsung Group and a police academy student. Though he grew up with considerable privilege, a life-changing past experience led him to pursue police work. His strong interest in investigations and willingness to use his money and connections create friction with Si Woo, played by Kang, who prefers rules and practical methods.

The film pairs a trainee who has no intention of leaving with a veteran detective who is determined to get rid of him. Their ongoing clashes eventually give way to cooperation. “Siren” is directed by Oh Ki Hwan, whose credits include “The Defects.”
