BLACKPINK’s Lisa releases first solo EP, ‘Press Play’

Lisa of BLACKPINK has returned with Press Play, her first solo EP. The six-track release arrived at midnight on Friday, marking her first new music in one year and eight months. It follows her debut full-length album, Alter Ego, released in February last year.

The EP is led by “Tarantino” and features five other tracks: “Sawadika,” “V12,” “Cobra,” “Cut U Off” and “Sweat.” “Sawadika” came out ahead of the album in September. It reached No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100 shortly after its release, setting a new chart high for Lisa.

The release follows a major award for Lisa at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles last month. She won Best Pop for “Dream,” a song from Alter Ego, becoming the first Asian solo artist to receive the award. Press Play is her first EP as a solo artist.
