Lisa’s “Tarantino” Video Features Hotel Fight Scenes and Spy-Inspired Story
Lisa of BLACKPINK released the music video for “Tarantino” at 1 p.m. KST on October 23, 2026. The track is the centerpiece of the promotional campaign for her upcoming EP, PRESS PLAY, which follows her studio album Alter Ego by more than a year.
Directed by Grammy Award-winning filmmaker James Mackel, the video follows Lisa on a mission through a vintage-style hotel to deliver a handwritten letter to director Quentin Tarantino. Her character encounters intruders and fights her way through the building, with choreographed martial arts and dance sequences. Lisa’s styling includes leather outfits and a studded police-style cap, complementing the video’s rebellious spy persona.
PRESS PLAY contains six tracks: “SaWaDiKa,” “V12,” “Cobra,” “Tarantino,” “Cut U Off” and “Sweat.” The song pairs a catchy melody with a decisive rhythm, while its lyrics use images including gun barrels and lipstick marks. The title had prompted discussion and mixed reactions online before the video’s release, and the track’s musical style also drew debate.
