BTS Takes Three Awards at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards

BTS received three awards at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, held on September 27 local time at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The group won Song of the Year and Best K-Pop for “SWIM,” along with the Best Group award.

The wins covered every category in which BTS was nominated. The group’s Best Group victory marked its fifth win in the category. BTS previously won the award for four consecutive years from 2019 through 2022.

BTS also made history with its Song of the Year win, becoming the first K-pop group to receive the award. Together, the three honors added another milestone to the group’s record at the VMAs.
