BTS Wins Three Awards at 2026 MTV VMAs as Lisa Takes Best Pop

BTS collected three awards at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, including Song of the Year. The group also received the Best K-pop and Best Group honors during the ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday, according to U.S. time.

The group won Song of the Year and Best K-pop for “Swim,” the lead song from its fifth studio album, “Arirang.” These awards placed the track among the ceremony’s recognized releases while also giving BTS the event’s group award.

BLACKPINK’s Lisa made history by becoming the first Asian solo artist to win Best Pop at the ceremony. The awards show was held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The event recognized both BTS as a group and Lisa as a solo artist across separate categories.
