Jisoo Reflects on Mathilde Favier’s Absence Before Dior Show

Jisoo is set to attend Dior’s Spring/Summer 2027 show during Paris Fashion Week on the evening of September 29 (KST). Before the event, she told fans through private messages that completing her fitting brought unexpected sadness and emptiness because a longtime friend who had welcomed her in Paris was no longer there.

The friend was Mathilde Favier, Dior’s public relations executive and a familiar presence for the brand’s ambassadors. Jisoo said the people around her offered support, allowing them to finish the fitting while sharing smiles. She explained that seeing colleagues connected to past Paris experiences made Favier’s absence especially clear.

Favier died suddenly in France on August 18 at age 57 following a traffic accident. She had previously spent 11 years at Prada and Miu Miu and was known within Dior’s fashion community for supporting international stars. Jisoo had earlier shared memories of Favier, recalling her warm welcome, birthday celebrations and gatherings that made Paris feel like a second home. Jisoo traveled to London for a Dior Beauty schedule before continuing to France.
