Stray Kids Reportedly Did Not Submit Music for the 69th GRAMMY Awards

Stray Kids reportedly will not be considered for the 69th GRAMMY Awards after missing the submission deadline. Sports Kyunghyang reported on October 2 that the group had not entered any of its works for the ceremony. The report follows confirmation that the awards will include a new Asian Pop category.

Under the GRAMMYs’ rules, music must be officially submitted to be reviewed for nominations and included on the voting ballot. As a result, Stray Kids’ music is not eligible for consideration at this ceremony, according to the report.

The news came one day after Billboard identified the group as a leading contender for the new category. Their album This & That, released August 7, reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking their ninth album to top the chart. Its title track peaked at No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100, the group’s highest position on that chart to date.
