Lisa Wins Best Pop at the 2026 VMAs With “Dream”

BLACKPINK’s Lisa drew attention at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, held on the morning of September 28 in Korea time. She appeared on the red carpet in a sheer red fitted dress with an oversized red fur coat, creating a bold contrast in the event’s first photos. Lisa was also among the artists fans were anticipating on the performance lineup.

During the ceremony, Lisa won Best Pop for “Dream,” her collaboration with Kentaro Sakaguchi. The song competed against tracks by Ariana Grande, Charli xcx, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McRae and Taylor Swift. The award became Lisa’s fourth VMA win and made her the first K-pop solo artist to win in the Best Pop category. She accepted the Moon Person trophy in a black fitted outfit with a detailed outer layer, high updo and sharp makeup.

“Dream” appears on Lisa’s 2025 album Alter Ego. The nostalgic ballad was presented through a cinematic music video featuring Sakaguchi. The win adds to Lisa’s previous Best K-Pop victories for “LALISA,” “ROCKSTAR” and “Born Again,” while highlighting her solo work on an international awards stage.
