Lisa’s VMA Win Draws Fresh Attention to Blue Pongtiwat Dating Rumors

Lisa made MTV VMAs history on September 28 (KST) by winning Best Pop for “Dream.” The BLACKPINK member became the first Asian solo artist and first K-pop soloist to receive the award. She also earned her fourth VMA trophy as a solo artist, following a win by BTS in the category in 2020.

Attention soon shifted to a backstage video lasting about five seconds. The clip appeared to show Thai actor Blue Pongtiwat near Lisa, reigniting dating speculation involving the pair. Their names have been linked through several reported interactions, including Blue’s appearance at Lisa’s private birthday celebration in Thailand and a later social media post featuring the caption “Cheers to you, rockstar.”

The pair were also reportedly seen around the same periods in Thailand, Hong Kong and Japan, while a London video showed two people believed to be Lisa and Blue walking together. However, Blue’s appearance at the VMAs does not confirm a romantic relationship. The two have reportedly known each other for years, and neither has publicly confirmed that they are dating. Lisa previously discussed keeping relationships private to avoid affecting BLACKPINK.
